Cabal

„Cabal" gilt als eine der ersten Flamenco-Stile. Es handelt sich um eine besondere Variante der „Seguiriya", deswegen ist auch als "Seguiriya cambiá" bekannt.

 

Musikalisch ist der Rhythmus wechselnd im Zusammenhang mit der „Seguiriya", aber mit einer höheren Tonart. Dieser Stil wurde von El Fillo geschaffen und von Silverio Franconetti verbreitet. Seine Bezeichnung kommt aus einer Anekdote, die im 19. Jahrhundert zwischen El Fillo und der Stierkämpfer Paquito stattgefunden wurde.
