Cantes de ida y vuelta
“Cantes de ida y vuelta” is a flamenco style group which has its origin in Spanish-American popular music. Following flamenco styles are considered as part of this group too: “milonga”,” rumba”, “vidalita”, “guajira” and “colombiana".
It was used the term "ida y vuelta" (round trip) for the ancient belief that these styles came to America by Spanish emigrants. They were transformed there and with the return of these emigrants and return to the origins, these styles were unified and reached the Spanish's forms.
