Farruca
“Farruca” is one of the newest flamenco styles. It comes from northern Spain folklore, which was brought to Andalusia at the mid-nineteenth century by young men who were seasonal workers as fish fryers or barmans.
“Farruca” was musically adapted and was performed in as a flamenco style by Andalusian people.
Flamenco form of this singing was very popular in the first half of the nineteenth century, performed with an air of “soleá”.
